KNOW THE 3K COURSE

 

The Wombat 3K Beach Race starts at the Yacht Club end of Abersoch Main Beach and covers 2 thirds of the length of the beach before turning right through the sand dunes and along a track that goes through the far end of the Golf Course, the track heads up a tiny hill before turning left along a bridalway footpath and onto a a little lane near the far end of the beach. The course takes another left down a track & then runners join the beach again, heading down the full length of Abersoch Beach to where you started, just below the Yacht Club.

A ChampionChip timing system will be in place so runners have to pass over the timing pads at both the start, the furthest point of the course and the finish line to get an official course time and be eligable for a finish place and prizes.
