HOW TO RAISE MONEY FOR THEM

 

We would really appreciate any sponsorship money that you may be able to raise, our lifesavers need and deserve the right equipment and craft to carry out rescues. Just £16 will help purchase a pair of gloves for one of our volunteer crew, £42 would fund a pair of the yellow wellies and £319 would actually provide a volunteer crew member with an inshore lifeboat dry suit. It currently costs £1,266 to train and £909 to kit each RNLI crew member, each year.To raise funds you can either request a Sponsorship Form during your online registration or request one from events_wales@rnli.org.uk. Alternatively, go to www.virginmoneygiving.com and set up your own fundraising page. The Abersoch 10K has been added as an event so it is easy to ensure the money goes to Abersoch Lifeboat Station. All runners who pledge to raise £50 will receive a special RNLI goody, all runners who pledge to raise £75 will receive a training t-shirt, and for those who pledge to raise over £150 the RNLI will provide them with a running vest as well as training t-shirt.

Anyone who isn't running but wants to help then either contact them also on the email above or just donate some money on the race day. It's a great day to watch & support the good cause.
