Due to fantastic demand we are opening entry later this week for the 2010 Abersoch 10K and Wombat 3K. It's a really exciting prospect that so many people are already keen to be part of next year's event. 2010 entry starts on Friday.

With the recent run of South Westerly winds and very dry weather, the course is looking awesome. The beach is fantastic to run on and for some, the sea has warmed up enough to ensure it will be the perfect place to end up after the race!
Start times & Entry on day
Start times will be strict and bar any unavoidable hold ups the strat horn will go off on the dot: WOMBAT 3K - 09:45am ABERSOCH 10K - 10:45am Also at present we will be taking entries on the day from Race Control at SCYC.
Wombat 3k Beach Course
The
Wombat 3K Beach Race course has now been approved & announced. It's
bang on 3 Kilometers (2 miles) from start to finish and is a lot of fun. Check the 'Know The 3K Course' page map & details.
Prize money
This race is for all levels of runners and on the prize front there are product prizes for all categories but for the top athletes the prize fund has been set at £500 to both the 10K Men's & Women's winner and £100 each for the 3K winners.
Powerade are on board
Powerade Isotonic Sports Drink are sponsoring the race. Their support
includes a drinks station at 4 miles and for the finish of both races,
as well as goody bags which will be stocked up by them & the other sponsors
and will also include a very cool finishing medal.
